Currently holding FFA/AFC B licence, as well as FFA/AFC GK Level 1 qualifications. I dedicate my career to being able to adapt and perform both GK coach role as well as head coach of a team with confidence.

Football is holistic in nature, a football coach needs to be able to understand all the aspects of football. This includes on-field tasks as well as off field tools to get the best out of a player.

My time in Australia working with professional club Newcastle Jets (please find details in CV section of site) as well as in South Africa at grassroots and professional (Cape Town City FC) level has well prepared me for my next challenge.

First Team GK Coach – Cape Town City FC

I am writing to recommend Greg Lowe. He worked with us at Cape Town City FC as a Youth Goalkeeper Coach and reported to me in my position as Head of Goalkeeping/Goalkeeper Coach first team. Greg is an excellent coach to work with young talented goalkeepers(u21). It’s a hard working goalkeeper coach who wants to improve himself every day and any moment.

If you give Greg the time to work with the goalkeepers you will see the progress during the season.

During the season Greg was also willing to put time and energy in his own education, and wanted to learn from the first team goalkeeping sessions.

Greg Lowe:

– Hard working coach
– Eye for detail
– Willing to learn and critical on himself
– Helping goalkeepers with good training sessions
– Helping goalkeepers with a own Personal Development Program
– A person you can trust

In summary, I highly recommend Greg Lowe for the position as goalkeeper coach to any organization. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Dean May
FFA National Head of GK Development

It is my great pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Mr. Greg Lowe. I have had the pleasure of viewing Mr. Lowe’s professional development over the past 5 years, and I can state with confidence that he is a motivated and responsible goalkeeper coach with a high degree of integrity. As such, I expect that he will be a very positive addition
to any institution.

As the National Goalkeeper Development Manager I feel that I know Mr. Lowe quite well. He began his Goalkeeper coaching experience by attending Community courses, and moving onto the advanced pathway.

In this role, he had a considerable amount of responsibilities in the education of young goalkeepers, and he handled them effortlessly. He showed his skills to communicate with both the players and the coaching staff, and due to his dedication and attention to detail, we have observed a considerable desire and technical improvement in all young
goalkeepers during this period.

Mr. Lowe takes the initiative to identify problems and devise solutions. His role requires strong communication skills, and he has shown that he not only has these skills, but that he also has the ability to inspire respect and cooperation in teammates and parents alike. He has shown that he is a very intelligent person with a mind well suited to the
development of Goalkeepers

Based on my observation, he clearly has the interest to excel in this field, and based on his performance, he clearly has the ability to achieve success. I therefore highly recommend him to any Goalkeeper
or coaching program without reservation.
